Hi, in KDE 4.7.2 console version 2.7.2 i prefere bright background color and bigger letters. Despite:

in ~/.kde4/share/apps/konsole/Powłoka.profile my console sometimes start with a black background and small letters. Unfortunately I couldn't find out when it takes place. Sometimes the background is black, sometimes white even in a new SuSE Linux / KDE installation. I didn't find any other place in /etc with possible concuring dark settings. Additionally more and more profiles appear in profile management even if I didn't generate it.
Could somebody tell me where to put the [Appearance] section to make the background setting permanent ?

In general, please avoid editing KDE configuration files directly. Please reconfigure Konsole using the inbuilt profile editor under Konsole > Settings > Manage Profiles. Remove all but your default profile, then configure it as you need using the inbuilt profile editor.

Your configuration looks fine. Maybe the thing is in the colorscheme itself. Could you please paste the contents of ~/.kde4/share/apps/konsole/BlackOnLightYellow.colorschme, if it exists?

Could you elaborate that? Maybe you will be interested with reading https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=250506.

Side note: you are welcome to try konsole-2.8.x, in which a lot of problems have been fixed compared with konsole-2.7.x
