Hello,
After upgrade to kde 4.9 the keyboard shortcut for sending SIGQUIT in konsole changed from CTRL-D to CTRL-SHIFT-D. I searched through konsole configuration files and google, but found nothing. How can I get CTRL-D back? Thanks.

AFAIK, there is not any change in the 4.9 cycle that might cause that problem. Also "Ctrl+D" by default is sent to the process running within konsole, instead of being intercepted by konsole as shortcut. That means if "Ctrl+D" does not work as expected, it is probably the fault of the process receiving "Ctrl+D".
Please double check this problem using a new user account or another terminal emulator. I really doubt this is a konsole problem. |

I deleted ~/.kde4/share/config/kdedrc and ~/.kde4/share/config/kdeglobals and CTRL-D in konsole works again now. Strange thing is that I analyzed these files a little bit but found nothing related to shortcuts and konsole... Anyway, problem is solved, so thank you.

You can change shortcuts in Konsole fairly easily, in Settings > Configure Shortcuts.

bcooksley got it, it appears the new konsole included with KDE 4.9 sets 'ctrl+D' as a shortcut to add a bookmark. Just change or remove this shortcut within Konsole and ctrl+D will properly drop you out of the shell again.
