Ive been trying to get transparency working in Konsole, but without any luck. When I open Konsole, it has fake transparency that flickers and eventually, kind of fades. If anything is moved behind the Konsole window, the area where the object is moved turns black. Also, when I scroll in the terminal or open up an editor an image of the previous text remains, making it virtually impossible to use.

Any ideas? My hardware has no problems supporting real transparency in other programs, so thats not the issue.

Which settings are you trying to adjust to control the transparency?

I figured this out. The problem was that oxygen-transparent and the Konsole transparency didnt get along together. I run "oxygen-transparent-settings" in a terminal and under the General tab in the GUI that comse up, made an exception for Yakuake and Konsole. No problems since.

Thanks!

I've been hounded by this issue for more than a year now. Don't know how I never thought to look at Oxygen-Transparent, it seems so obvious now!
