The maximum length I can set the title of the window to is 74 characters. This is not good when it's showing the current full directory path (%w) and I'm in a deep tree.
Also, when I enter vim, the title changes to "[No Name] - VIM", which is expected, but upon exiting vim, it changes not to %w, which is what I have it set to, but the name of the current profile ("Default" in my case). It's not until another shell prompt is displayed, which I have set to send the escape sequence to change the title to the full pwd (actually, "\033]0;${USER}@${HOSTNAME}:${PWD}\007"), that the title changes back to %w. I'm using Konsole 2.8.5 in KDE 4.8.5. I looked for these in the bug system but doing a search even just for "title" seemed to bring a list of many unrelated issues, as if it was searching for everything that has a title(!) Should I create new bugs for them? |

Hi, it does seem there is a 70ish char limit to the tab title. If you can put in a bko it would be appreciated.
I'm running 4.9.x and I can't reproduce the vim/%w issue at this time. I'll try again later. Kurt |
