I am hoping and praying there is a way to get rid of line wrapping in Konsole and all other terminal emulators on my computer. When I run a program in a terminal program, I need to see where I put line breaks in. Line wrapping in Konsole (and all other terminals) is making it very difficult for me to see my own line breaks. I also tabinate lines in my code, so seeing the level of tabination is even more difficult with line wrapping.
So, please let me know if there is a way to remove line wrapping from Konsole (and all other terminals). If Kate has to be told to wrap lines, wouldn't it make sense for Konsole (and all other terminals) to have to be told to wrap lines? ;) Lady Aleena |

I'm afraid Konsole does not support disabling line wrapping, as a terminal emulator sets the number of lines and columns it is capable of displaying. To disable line wrapping, it would have to set a excessively large number of lines, which would make any curses based application useless.

So I will never see my output as I intend it to be ever again?

I'm afraid not. The only workaround would be to redirecting it into a file and then use a text editor such as KWrite to view that file. Alternately, you could try piping it to a pager such as less/more - which might offer this functionality.
