Hi there,
either I'm blind but can't find a way to disable autoscrolling for konsole. Is this just not exposed via the GUI or no possible at all? This is with Konsole 2.11.3. |

I'm afraid Konsole performs scrolling intelligently - there is no configuration option.
If you are fully scrolled down to the bottom then it will continue to follow you (or "autoscroll"). However, if you scroll up (even by a tiny amount such as 1 line) then it will stay in the same place. The only time this won't happen is if the amount of output in your terminal exceeds the scrollback buffer, in which case the output you were viewing will be lost.

Has that always been the case?
gnome-terminal allows to easily change that: https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-term ... ng.html.en See "Scroll on ...". Would it be possible to use another termal emulator inside konsole? E.g. xterm also allows to configure this rather fine-grained, for example "-si" would be what I'm looking for. |

in KDE you can use xterm, gnome-terminal, whatever terminal app that's available in your distro or you're willing to compile should work as long as the required libraries are installed

To my knowledge, yes the behaviour I described has always been the case.

Being able to enable scroll on output the same way it's possible in gnome-terminal (as @doktor5000 shows) would be a very nice feature. I think the first step would be to submit a bug, right?
