Execute command with no window

Sat Aug 16, 2014 4:44 pm
Hi there,

I mapped a shell command to a hotkey. The command is executed this way: konsole -e foobar.bin

This opens a new konsole window with the output of foobar.bin.

But, I do not need to see any command output and I do not want a window to open.

How can I tell konsole to make a completely silent command execution? No output, no window at all.

Can konsole do that? Or do I need xterm instead?

Thanx
