After invoking 'Clear Scrollback and Reset' from the 'View' menu the prompt is not visible until after I press some key.
Is there a way to have the prompt show up automatically in this case?

From what state/buffer content/running process?

I'm not sure I get your question. No matter what the content in Konsole is (could be as simple as plain shell prompt) the result is the same.

Sorry, not reproducible here - you should file a bug, but if you're waiting for a particular promt (ie. the one of your shell), you should first ensure that this isn't simply the behavior of your shell (settings)

Alternatively, this might be a mere graphical issue - try
a) suspending the compositor (SHIFT+Alt+F12)
b) run as "konsole --notransparency" (ie. enforce a 24bit window)
