Hi,

I need to use a a powerline patched font (https://github.com/powerline/fonts) in konsole on KDE5.

How would I go by doing this? I installed the fonts in ~/.fonts , but I do not see them when I edit the profile font, (I see a very limited number of fonts to select).

I am on the Fedora 22 KDE spin

you would need to edit the specific Kate profile's "font=" line in ~/.kde[4]/share/apps/konsole/, the files end in Shell.profile

note: I tried it and it worked but the cursor placement when typing was strange so I am guessing there is a reason for the abbreviated list of fonts available or maybe because I didn't adjust the numbers at the end of the font line

Konsole only shows (and supports) fixed-width fonts.

If you force it to use a proportional font, you'll see wrong cursor placement.
