Hello, i upgraded to KF5 recently and one problem that i'm having is that konsole's background-mode is not working anymore.
When i try to open from the terminal this is what i get
Code: Select all
QCoreApplication::arguments: Please instantiate the QApplication object first
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.
The font for use in the terminal has not been matched exactly. Perhaps it has not been found properly.

But same happens when i open a regular terminal and it works fine.

May it be caused due to having composite disabled?

I'm not really aware of the feature but it looks (by the proposed shortcut) like it would operate on the plasma dashboard feature - which was somehow restricted/removed in KDE5 (never used the dashboard) - so I assume that's why the konsole feature fails.

You're not looking for something like yakuake, are you?
