Running Debian 8.2, I cannot get Unicode combining characters to display properly in Konsole, but they work in UXterm and other applications. On another machine running a Debian derivative, Unicode combining works just fine in Konsole, but I cannot find the difference. I've fiddled with fonts and locale settings to no avail. I don't know where to look next.

What do you mean by "display properly"? Do you get squares, encodings "A~" or "junk"? Rendering artifacts? Screenshot?

Debian chose a poor default, but I finally found the setting I needed buried under:
Settings
Edit Current Profile...
Advanced
Encoding
Unicode
UTF-8

Thank you though!
