Incorrect font display

Sun May 14, 2017 3:53 pm
Good time of the day!
My English is not very good, excuse me if I said something wrong.

Just upgraded from kde-4.14.3 to 5.29.0, distribution gentoo, all compiled from sources.

I have old 4:3 monitor with resolution 1280x1024. When I starting konsole the font appears squished. Same as picture from screen 4:3 fit to 16:9 screen.
When I go to "Manage profile" menu, select font and press OK, font display becomes correct. This happens every time I start new konsole session.

I try to illustrate below.
Sorry, I can't post image with an Img tag, preview shows error "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image.", so I have to use Url tag.

When I start new konsole session:

Manage profile:
http://ibb.co/djZbd5

After pressing OK:
http://ibb.co/nshJrQ

I have never encountered such a problem in kde4.

What could be wrong?
Thanks for attention, with best regards, Alexey Prokopchuk

As far as I can understand, it's a Qt based issue. I tried similar terminal emulators 'qterminal' and 'terminator'.
qterminal behaves same as konsole with font display, but trick with font selection doesn't work.
GTK based terminator displays font correctly.

I will use terminator for a while, at least until I can find some workaround for solve incorrect font displaying in Qt based terminal emulators.
