I need to use some Alt and Shift cursor combinations in emacs and the KDE Konsole is interfering with them. It switches the tabs instead. How can I disable that behaviour?
It is hard to tell whether it is something to configure in the necessary terminal itself or it is something controlled at the level of the GUI.

I managed to make some progress with the help of this question - https://emacs.stackexchange.com/questio ... rminal/989
and added the code below to the init.el of emacs
Code: Select all
(define-key input-decode-map "\e[1;2A" [S-up])
(define-key input-decode-map "\e[1;2B" [S-down])

The answer to another stackexchange question - https://unix.stackexchange.com/question ... e-terminal seems to go some way. What documents list the whole set of commands that ScrollLineDown and ScrollLineUp used in come from?

What is the official KDE approach to fixing this issue?

https://unix.stackexchange.com/question ... soles?rq=1 also seems to go some way, but is more oriented to the terminals themselves not the graphical terminals like console.

You can change Konsole's keyboard shortcuts in Settings->Configure Shortcuts (like in most KDE applications).
