How to decode the binary tmp file?
I want to read the output of a Konsole session via ssh.

Hello,

sorry for the gravedigging, but this is exactly the question I have. There seem to be other topics mentioning it roughly like
viewtopic.php?f=227&t=160434&p=416172&hilit=konsole+history+read#p416172

However, I basically want to read the history/scrollback files but file says they are targa images and basically binary data.
How are they encoded/compressed so I can reverse it and read?
I'm pretty sure that about a year ago I managed this but cannot find any references or am too stupid to find it again.
If I cannot read them, the files on disk are pointless to keep of course. I used them originally to log every terminal session I make because I deal a lot with logs I might need or not, I will know days afterwards whether the logs were any good.

Thanks in advance.

Markus
