Yes you heard right. Windows now has PTY support so third party terminals can be easily ported and do everything they do on Linux. So now I personally would love to see the Konsole terminal brought to life with all it's goodness on Windows as a win32 or UWP app (can be side-loaded or placed in the Windows Store and specified as free), or you could even go the new .msix route (brand new file extension that is works similar to snap). At this point in time, it will require a Fast-Ring Insider build, which you could run in a VM or Docker container or wait for the stable edition to come up in fall/winter time (preference would be to start right away so it could be completed in time for the stable edition). The Console team is willing to assist in this process as they already are communicating with other third parties such as I listed above.
