How to fix garbled text in konsole?

Fri Jan 20, 2023 3:28 am
I have an older laptop that I installed KDE Neon on. One issue that has come up is konsole. The text gets garbled and there's no formatting anytime I have to use the terminal. Here's an example after I install updates via the terminal: https://imgur.com/FiAGGc4. Is there an easy way to fix this? i tried finding a solution online, but nothing has worked for me.

I do have the same problem.
You can't work with a broken konsole like that.
Even deinstallation and new installation has any positiv effect on that. So this is a severe problem!
Obviously it's a system fault. But nobody cares: No answer, no reaction at all.
No hint how to fix that?!
What is this forum good for?

My MX-Forum brought the solution:

My former console-profile was - probably by any update - replaced by an new standard-profile (only read).
Creating a new (my old) console-profile was the simple solution.
But take care to select a fixed width font.
