What kind of command is it ?
Why not to put the command into ~/.bashrc (or analogous file if you don't use bash) ?

"konsole -e $command" - but konsole will close when the command completes. "konsole --noclose -e $command" if you don't want it to close. Chapter 3 of the konsole handbook documents these - there are a lot of other command lines options that control it.

Thank you, I had managed to get this working... I thought I had posted a message with how I did it so others could benefit; however, the message doesn't seem to have made it
