Konsole command line option

Thu Jan 29, 2009 7:48 pm
Hello,

can anyone give me a good documentation for the kde4 konsole? I am looking for a description for the command line options or perhaps a tutorial to replace the old kde3 options like -vt.

Thank you.

So konsole does not support the standard X --geometry (XxY+x+y) parameters? If not, how do you launch it with a specified geometry when running under, say, Gnome (which I'm currently doing, against my preference)?

Thanks.

(edit)
Nevermind - I didn't look at --help-all. Question answered, assuming it works as advertised. ;-)

In KDE 4, you have to uncheck the "use current window size on next startup" box and specify the desired size in a profile, then launch konsole with the --profile switch. More explanations with screenshots here : http://ychaouche.informatick.net/kde
