I want to set some defaults for Konsole that take effect for all users but can't work out where to put them.
Konsole is keeping it's per-user settings in ~/.kde4/share/apps/konsole/.profile As far as I can see there is no global equivalent of this file:
So where should I put global settings for Konsole? Also how does it work that there is configuration being stored in /home/mike/.kde4/apps/ when that path is not in the output of kde4-config? |

Config files are stored in $KDEHOME/share/config while Application data is in $KDEHOME/share/apps

I've figured it out. Create a file containing the settings I want using /usr/share/kde4/apps/konsole/Shell.profile as a template. E.g. Create a file called myprofile.profile
Then create /usr/share/kde4/config/konsolerc which contains the lines [Desktop Entry] DefaultProfile=myprofile.profile |
