Where is the Konsole history temporary file stored? Is it a simple text file that can be easily used?
Konsole crashes when I attempt save the history to a file. So, I was hoping there is a temp file somewhere that I can grab. KDE version: 3.3.1-9.el4 Red Hat Linux version: 2.6.9-67.0.7.ELsmp |

No, everything that was in the Konsole session buffer, like a log file. Similar to when you use script or enable the logging feature in an xterm window. Fromt eh Konsole menu, Edit->Save History As... and then save to a file. |

Have you tried Scrollback? There is nothing in the Help documentation about it but it may be what you are looking for.

Not sure about KDE3 Konsole, but for KDE4 konsole, the data for "unlimited scrollback" is usually temporarily written into /tmp/kde-xxx/konsolexxx.
The data is binary encoded(not encrypted), so it is not of much use for those curious users |
