change icon for root's konsole

Wed Jul 29, 2009 5:24 pm
I start a root konsole via kdesu /usr/bin/x-terminal-emulator from the K-Menu. The taskbar icon for this is the default one - "[i]shell prompt on black background with white border[\i]" - the one for other konsole windows.

Is there any way to have a different icon when konsole is started as a root - again for visual distinction - usability too I guess.

You may be able to play around with the switches you can provide to Konsole. The following command will list all possible options:
Code: Select all
konsole --help-all

Thanks for the simple help... Just for the record:
Code: Select all
kdesu -c '/usr/bin/konsole --icon /usr/share/pixmaps/gksu-root-terminal.png'

Btw, isn't there any such root-terminal icon in KDE? A reddish version of the usual konsole icon? Anyway, this work as great... Thanks.
