I develop a KDE-app that needs to be run as root. I used to always open a konsole with kdesu so that I could easily run the app or launch it with gdb.

However with KDE4, konsole can be started as root with kdesu, but doesn't pass on the X-previliges, so I can't start graphical apps with it.

Is that
* specific to my system/setup?
* a bug?
* or desired behaviour?

How do I easily get around this? I need to me able to debug the Program :/

Thanks!
