konsole font configuration

Wed Oct 14, 2009 7:06 pm
hi -

i have a new kde (3.5 as installed here) and cannot re-install my favourite fonts for konsole... i only get quite limited choices from the menu (settings -> fonts -> select gives me about 7 different options). i also tried to modify konsolerc in .kde/share/config to

defaultfont=DEC Terminal,11,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0
font=8

which works well for another installation but here this somehow gets ignored...

alternatively, i would be happy to use the fonts which eg can be called for an xterm using

xterm -fn '-dec-terminal-medium-r-normal--14-140-75-75-c-80-iso8859-1'

(that's the font i want) but konsole cannot be called with -fn and i have no clue why the settings in the configuration file are ignored...

any help ??

i also have problems w the bitmap font installations but that's another issue - i would be happy to have this solved first ;-)

cheers
