Hi,

I'm running KDE from the package kdebase-4.4.2-1.fc12.i686

I added a new profile to Konsole and access it through the pull-down menu of File. But when I reboot the profile is gone from the menu and I have to go back in 'Manage Profiles ...' and checkmark the 'Show in menu' column to get it back.

Where's kept the list of profiles ? I checked in .kde/share/config/konsolerc but didn't find such a list

Please check the permissions of ~/.kde4/share/apps/konsole and its contents.

I fixed this though can't remember the exact issue, I think it was a bad profile in ~/.kde4/share/apps/konsole. Try renaming the the folder and see if a fresh start fixes it.

This kind of problems should be gone since KDE SC 4.8. Now Konsole saves that "Show in Menu" status into disk the moment it is changed, instead of saving it only when exiting Konsole or logging out. The old Konsole versions were buggy in saving that information when logging out.
