Hello,

I am running KDE 4.3 under Fedora 12.

Historically with all of the terminal emulators I've tried (konsole, xterm, Eterm, Terminal, etc.) using the mouse to select a block of text would not select the white space after the last character on each line. However, after a recent update while in konsole all of the white space from the last character on each line to the window right border is selected. This only happens in konsole. I've tested xterm, Terminal (Xcfe) and gnome-terminal. They all behave in the historic manner. I went through the konsole settings and spent a good deal of time on Google but I can't figure out how to restore the old select behaviour for konsole.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Don

KDE 4.3 is quite old. I can't reproduce the behaviour you mention here on trunk ( KDE 4.6 ) so it seems to have been fixed. I would recommend updating to KDE 4.4.5, which should contain the fix.

Ben, you are correct. 'Just updated to 4.4.5 and mouse select works as expected. Tested on two F12 boxes. Thanks.
