When viewing the kalarm main window I have observed the first column (with the alarm time) is not displayed in its full width, the times are truncated and minutes are not displayed. The date format I have set is "dd-mm-yy hh:mm" but I only see "dd-mm-yy hh:..." . I tried to increase the column width but positioning the cursor over the column separators has no effect. I wonder if it is possible to resize column width editing the config file (kalarmrc).
Follow this link to see a screenshot showing the problem: http://content.wuala.com/contents/abcdi ... h.png?dl=1 One workaround to see the full alarm times is placing the mouse over the tray icon. I'm using: - KAlarm 2.8.6-ak - KDE 4.8.5 Thank you

The width of the time column is, as you have noticed, not able to be changed by the user. It is supposed to size itself automatically to fit the contents of the column, so what you are seeing shouldn't happen. There is no setting in kalarmrc which would affect the column width. Could you try changing the KDE font to see if that has any effect on the problem, and say which font (style and size) you are using.

Thank you, David, your reply help me to solve the problem.
I'm using Linux Mint KDE 13 with the default system font settings, as shown in this screenshot: http://content.wuala.com/contents/abcdi ... s.png?dl=1 My screen resolution is 1280x1024 pixels and 96x96 dpi. So, I checked the box "Force fonts DPI" to 96 dpi, in the KDE Font System Settings. After kalarm restart, the alarm times are displaying properly. This solution is fine because I noticed very few changes viewing the fonts. Kind Regards, Paco |
