Kalarm without Akonadi?

Is it possible to build Kalarm for Plasma 5 without Akonadi?

It seems Akonadi is a required now, so I'm afraid it isn't possible, right?

Your supposition is correct. Akonadi is essential for building KAlarm with KF5.
