Hello,
I'm having trouble with KAlarm not starting up properly when the desktop starts up. KAlarm itself starts but is unusable, it displays the message "The Akonadi personal information management service is not operational". I've tracked it down to KAlarm not starting Akonadi - but only at desktop startup. If KAlarm is started from the menu it correctly starts Akonadi itself and then works. Even if I run /usr/bin/kalarmautostart kalarm --tray in konsole, kalarm starts after the startup delay, starts Akonadi and it works. For Desktop Session in KDE settings, I use "Start with an empty session" mode. This is on Kubuntu 17.04. The problem is easily replicated in a fresh install:
Any ideas? Thanks. |
