Long standing topic/issue. We have sort of working Nepomuk metacontacts, but we're still hitting some bumps, so we cannot ship it as-is. Needs some work. Patches welcomed ![]()

Okay, and one more think. It would be nice to refine the ICQ and other connection settings, because I cannot connect from behind proxy, while I have no problem connecting from Pidgin.

Hello, is something new with proxy support? I have 0.5 installed and I cannot configure the proxy connection in Telepathy. Or is there some hack with config file or something? Thank you

if you check another topic on this forum regarding Skype not working, you will find the solution. It is not altogether easy but it works in the end, at least for me |

Nope, we didn't touch any proxy settings afaict. Should be using system default.

Actually I believe it depends from the connection manager, XMPP accounts allow you to set a proxy server, you can configure it from the proxy tab in edit account > advanced I think that's the only account supporting it, but when we have some time we should check if any other connection manager supports it and fix the account manager plugins accordingly (by the way we should also check if any new parameter was added since we wrote the plugins) |

Yeah, but if you leave this empty, then it should hopefully use system settings. Good idea.

Sure it doesnt use system defaults. Thats why we are using pidgin, and not a KDE products Kubuntu 12.04 KDE 4.9.1 |
