Hi,
Does anyone know if Kopete has integrated Desktop Sharing? As I understand it, Empathy does, and it uses Telepathy for as its backend, which (I believe) Kopete does as well. I can't seem to find much information about this, except for https://svn.reviewboard.kde.org/r/1672/, which is old enough that I would have thought the feature would be available by now. If it has been implemented, what version/package do I need? Or am I just on a wild goose chase for something that doesn't exist? Thanks in advance. |

Kopete doesn't. Kopete has nothing to do with telepathy. It is old, deprecated and mostly unmaintained. On the other hand, KDE Telepathy does support desktop sharing via tubes. In fact that review request was merged in trunk and similar support was also implemented for krfb (the server-side).
To test it you will need some recent version of KDE Telepathy and kdenetwork 4.9 compiled with telepathy support. Then you should be able to start desktop sharing from the KDE Telepathy contact list. |
