I've seen it in other applications and wonder if this also is possible in telepathy: When I chat with someone ("MSN" protocol in my case) I'd like to see a message that the person is typing right now (not what the person is writing, just that the person is currently typing). It happens sometimes that one of the chat partners logs out while the other one still wants to add something, is typing (maybe a little longer and therefore seems silent) and is being "hung up" with no ill intent.

I've asked my friends too, none of us has seen that, will try to watch those places next time... Maybe a better place would be the text field or inside the chat window as something the user is already looking at? |
