I badly need a shortcut to open messages from keyboard.

Here I'm notified about a new message:


Is there any way to assign such a shortcut?

When I try to assign a shortcut to the envelope element at the screenshot it is catched and tied to the language switcher tray element. It seems to be a bug.

Anyway, how to open a new message from keyboard? Thank you!


P.S. I managed to assign a shortcut to open a message window (it's a long story, I can explain if needed how). But it doesn't activate the message window if it's already open.
