Hi,
For a while now I've got a problem authenticating to facebook chat. Almost every time I login into KDE: 1. telepathy asks for my facebook password 2. facebook sends me an sms with code to use as password for facebook chat application 3. security notification is raised on my facebook account that someone is trying to login to my account from a strange IP address (i.e: 10.204.192.67) I can't use telepathy until I mark that login attempt as fine. However that IP address is not mine (neither internal or external) and I honestly don't know whether I should allow it or not, or what that IP is. |

Have you attempted to reverse the IP address in question to see whom it belongs to?
Also, have you seen the other topic in this forum concerning problems with Facebook integration to see if it is of assistance?

This IP is from scope that is used for internal networks. According to RFC1918:
As for the other thread: I've configured PSI with Facebook and the result is the same as with telepathy so it's probably Facebook issue... |

I assumed the 10.x.x.x IP address was an example in this instance - if Facebook is actually providing you with a 10.x.x.x address then you need to report a issue to them, as they have a infrastructure problem internally..

I've started digging more about facebook and xmpp and i see that I'm not alone in this. I've notified them about the problem, we'll see if anyone will take any action.
