is there a new "secret" setting that somehow enables me to alter the precence of single accounts and not just all of them together?

David Edmundson was so kind to tell us about a configuration option in this thread. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to change anything anymore as of today (plasma 5.2, ktp 15.04).

Same problem here. Furthermore with recent switch of kde-telepathy to Plasma5 it seems that the possibility to know if any of the configured accounts is unable to connect is lost.
I.e, I have two accounts configured. After clicking on "online" I am not even able to have a clue if any of the two accounts has connected succesfully... this is a really basic feature missing.

To see the status open up the contacts list and hover over the status bar at the top of the window.
