Mystery telepathy accounts

Fri Dec 11, 2015 3:57 am
I have 3 telepathy accounts that seem to be left over from kde4, hiding out somewhere. I get prompted to log into them at the start of every plasma session, but two of them are Google and Facebook accounts which means the login always fails, and so I'm being constantly interrupted by log in requests. If I ignore the window, they just pile up every couple of minutes. I can't prevent the windows from stealing focus. I can't make them stop. And when I look in all the UI configs for KTP, there are no accounts listed.

Where are these hiding, and how do I delete them?

I just run into the same issue after upgrading to KDE Neon. Took me a while to figure out there telepathy stores the account information. I just needed to delete the ~/.local/share/telepathy folder to fix the problem.

@Stephan Hochdörfer yes this works!

Just wanted to add that one has to logout and login again for the fix to be noticeable.

Yeppee! it is working again.
