Debian Sid package available

Sun Sep 25, 2005 10:06 pm
The provided Debian Etch package didn't install on my Sid system, so I made a package that installs on Sid by changing some of the dependencies in the control file. Get it here.

Eep! My fault, I should have been clearer the first time.

I'm using unstable, with KDE 3.4 packages that are, for now, not in the "official" Debian unstable repositories. The "official" unstable repositories have KDE 3.3, but the KDE maintainers have uploaded 3.4 to a repository on alioth. The testing package you guys had would not install on a Debian unstable system with KDE 3.4 because kdelibs4 and libqt3c102-mt are called kdelibs4c2 and libqt3-mt in KDE 3.4, and your package depended on kdelibs4 and libqt3c102-mt. All I did was change those names to the newer ones in the package's control file.

Basically, this means that my package will only install on Debian unstable with KDE 3.4. So you need to keep the package you had before for testing - I guess it will also install on a stock Debian unstable system with KDE 3.3. And if you insist on putting mine up, specify that it's for unstable with KDE 3.4 only.

Sorry for not making this clear the first time around.
