Error while loading a torrent

Sun Oct 09, 2005 6:53 am
I'm using KTorrent 1.1RC1 with SuSE 10.0.

I'm trying to load a .torrent file, but KTorrent won't process it:
An error occurred whilst loading the torrent file. The most likely cause is that the torrent file is corrupted, or it is not a torrent file at all.

This same .torrent works on Azureus. I haven't tried any other clients yet.

KTorrent does not yet support trackerless torrents. As far as I know it is not yet on the TODO list as there is no stable and compatible implementation (the original BitTorrent client and Azureus both use a different method).
