bmfan is right. You are missing development package for X.
On SuSE 10.0 the package name is: xorg-x11-devel
Install that package and try again.

I am so stupid.
Try to install Ktorrent on Suse 10 and then I found it is already installed.
They ship it with the distro.

lol

Keep this great work btw.

SuSE 10.0 comes with KTorrent version 1.1rc1 so I suggest you upgrade to final 1.1 version.

I have (still) unofficial RPM for SuSE 10.0 if you are interested we can arrange the transfer.

Well, forget my previous reply since I forgot you are on 64bit platform so my RPM won't work...

But, you can easily compile the source found on downloads page. It requires only standard development packages.

Well I try it and try and fail.

Here is the error where I fail:

checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!

I got the same error on my 32Bit system. Are there some options that I can type with configure?

Also it was necessary to install some common packages with Yast.
The Problem that I get is with the Qt 3.3 library that have some failure on linking to library qt-mt.
This Problem is described here: http://dot.kde.org/1037074615/1037242259/1037258709/
(see post on the bottom)

I got a workaround here: http://forums.suselinuxsupport.de/lofiv ... 12890.html

but now I am stuck on my AMD64Bit system on the same point like on mine 32Bit system. What prefix should I chose?

Now I get first this failure on make:

configure.in:43: version mismatch. This is Automake 1.9.6,
configure.in:43: but the definition used by this AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE
configure.in:43: comes from Automake 1.9.5. You should recreate
configure.in:43: aclocal.m4 with aclocal and run automake again.

so I did first autoreconf and then automake to have a configure script that fit to my automake version.

Now make stuck here:

node.cpp:40:20: error: node.moc: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** [node.lo] Fehler 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/bla/Linux Programme/ktorrent_1.1/libkademlia'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Fehler 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/bla/Linux Programme/ktorrent_1.1'
make: *** [all] Fehler 2
