I would like to suggest not to have the status/files panes visible by default. The simple 1.0 gui was better IMHO.
Just my 2 cents for simplicity.
Having a "downloaded percentage" progress bar "ala emule" would be nice also.

Great piece of soft anyway.

If you are using the SVN version, you can just unload the infowidget plugin.
