Hi. I'd just like to inform you that the BitMeTV-tracker does not work with KTorrent (I upgraded to SVN today).

Here is info from the log:

Doing tracker request to url : http://www.bitmetv.org/announce.php?passkey=<my passkey here>&peer_id=-KT12DV-939845281445&port=3000&uploaded=0&downloaded=0&left=30001306&compact=1&numwant=100&key=318807909&event=started&info_hash=v%f9%c0v%cf%14%86%97%05%c0%23WN%a8%b7%89%24%a6%a9l
Error : Illegal token: Y

It's a invite-only community, but I can get an invite for the authors if you need it. Thanks.

Seems to me that there's a problem with your passkey - actually maybe KT has some problems with it (I can't see no 'Y' in tracker request unless it's in you passkey...). Torrent is downloading with other clients?

There is no 'Y' in my passkey (no 'y' either for that matter). The torrents work using btdownloadcurses.

A torrent I can work with, would be helpfull. So I can see what the tracker sends back.

I've sent a invite to the email in the FAQ. This should give you access to everything you need. :)

This is the actual data sent back :

You have been logged for trying to cheat.

How did we try to cheat ?

EDIT: I have asked a question on their forums, see what that gets us.

Wow. That's weird. It might have something to do with them recently adding rules about supported and unsupported (banned) clients.

PS: You'll probably need to be logged in to read these:

They asked for a user agent string and how the PeerID's look, I sent it to them, so we will see ...

Since ktorrent doesn't send out any User-Agent header you'll need to add one yourself.

Since bitmetv don't "know/allow" ktorrent I made ktorrent to idendity itself as "libtorrent/0.6.2".

step#1 Open up libtorrent/httptracker.cpp
step#2 Insert header.setValue( "User-Agent:", "libtorrent/0.6.2"); after the header.setValue( "Host",host ); line
step#3 recompile.

The current SVN version sends out ktorrent as the user agent string.

Current SVN does not work properly on http://xxxdevil.dynu.ca/ , i think for the same reason. (i already reported this issue some time ago on the previous xxx-tracker.net)

I'm interested to know if KT will be able to meet the conditions of bitmetv.org sometime in the (near) future? I find it to be the nicest BitTorrent client I've used, but I also love bitmetv, so it would be great if these two could get along together :)
