hi,

at some tracker sides, the torrents have filenames in this way:

%5BNewtorrents.info%5D_VMxxxxxxxxx

and if i want to open the downloaded .torrent with ktorrent i get an error that maybe it is not a torrent-file or the file is corrupted.

but if i rename it, everything works great.

Can you send me a torrent (see FAQ for e-mail address) ?

EDIT: to avoid possible confusion this FAQ : http://ktorrent.pwsp.net/index.php?page=faq

not the forum FAQ

I have issues with torrents which filename begins with (or contains) the character #, as you can see here for example : http://www.jamendo.com/album/223/
KTorrent displays an error message "it's corrupted or not a torrent at all", but other clients such as Azureus or the official Bittorent client don't have this problem. Moreover, if I download the .torrent and remove the #, KTorrent handles it just well.
(edit : I'm using KTorrent 1.1)

It seems that it can't be copied to the torX dir. We will fix it before the release of 1.2rc1.
