I just noticed that KTorrent is downloading 256 chunks in one torrent at the same time - isn't that quite overkill.

It shuld be better to download a few chunks at a time and make sure we get done with those so we can upload data to the swearm.

When downloading a lot of chunks at the some time it will leed to a lot of data to download without geting any future data to upload.

I know, for some reason, KT has a tendency to start downloading lots of chunks. I'm working on it.

perhaps this is what causes the huge amount of memory usage? i noticed i only have problems when downloading...
ie: i was downloading 3 stargate atlantis episodes, and the pc was barely moving... even the mouse cursor was jumping arround when i moved it. this all stoped as soon as the downloads completed and i started seeding
