Good program, but...

Mon Dec 19, 2005 7:47 am
Hey. Decided to give KTorrent a try. It works well, and has nice features like the built-in search, but one thing I noticed is that sometimes it will start eating 95% of my CPU and stop responding.

I don't know exactly how long before it starts, but its happened several times: I'd minimize it, and launch Neverwinter Nights or some other game. After awhile the game would become choppy, and top would show a ~95% cpu usage for ktorrent.

I just checked out and compiled the current svn version, hopefully it was fixed.

Also, rather than making another thread, I thought I'd include a small feature request: Closing the window using the close button in the corner should hide it in the system tray.

Ah, nevermind about the system tray, noticed it was implemented in the svn version... It seems that the package I had installed was a bit old. (1.1-1).

The cpu usage crash is due to an infinite loop in the 1.1 version. It's fixed in the SVN version.

OK. Good, no complaints then. Great program!
