>Had SUSE guys compiled a buggy SVN?
The rc1 part are usually a good indication that some bugs may exist:-) And in this case I think the developers was a little unlucky with the timing on the rc regarding bugs, on the other hand they got lots of bugreports which they since have fixed. Overall the 1.2 looks like it's going to be a great release. >I will backup tmp directory and all of cfg files, next time, when upgrading to new version Always a good idea when upgrading something, as long as you think your data are important:-) And it's helpfull when trying to fix bugs, as you are able to reproduce the problem by restoring the backup. |

I made the migration process a whole lot safer yesterday. We now make a backup of the torX dir before we start, then try to migrate and when that is finished succesfully, we remove the backup directory.
So if things go wrong there alllways will be a backup named migrate-failed-torX. |

Ah, yes I see this. Updated to revision 498745 yesterday. And I was going to ask you about that, since it's kind of too safe now. For me it runs the copy to migrate-failed-torX at every start-up, which I think is slightly overkill:-) I would have thought it was supposed to only do that in the cases where real migration occurred. It still need some finetuning I guess:-) |
