Yeah all you need to do is load the partial file import plugin and you will find the option in the file menu.

A dialog will appear and you will have to fill in the torrent file and the data. Press OK and wait.

This worked in the 1.2-dev version from subversion that I downloaded and compiled a couple of weeks ago, but not in the 1.2-rc1 that I just installed, I'm sorry to report. It fails with the message:
Cannot create directory [name of already downloaded directory]
Malformed URL [name of already downloaded directory]
I tried with several files, all with the same result.

Bug squashed, should work now. (don't forget to make install the plugin when you recompile it)

I just installed from latest svn and importing an existing torrent now indeed works, great.
But it is very CPU consuming. It starts between 10-20% on my iBook G4 1,2Ghz, climbing to 40-50% after half an hour or so, with 2 torrents open.
