REQ: Header Encryption

Sat Jan 14, 2006 5:59 am
ISP is shaping torrent traffic. I'd rather not use this ISP, but it is the only one available to me.

Bitcomet I believe has implemented this encryption... I am sure others will be doing so soon also.

Are there any plans for ktorrent to implement this?

Thanks!

Keep up the good work!

I expect this feature is going to be needed in the near future because mtorrent and azureus are working together on this since a few days.

Interesting development, a standard way of doing this, I will have to contact the mutorrent and AZ devs for some more info on this.

I read about this on a news site and it stated that download speeds increased dramatically when encryption was enabled because it prevented traffic shapers from working. This might be the reason why many people are getting slow download speeds (see various posts).

Unfortunately, I'm not a programmer or I'd help out, but I'd like to second this request :)
