my 2 cents

Fri Mar 03, 2006 1:43 pm
hi.
i have tried svn version (now using 515320) because 1.2 gui froze for an unknown reason.

i don't like that the infowidget for the downloads is so wide. could the black box be a little smaller ? Nobody has an upload/dl speed with 5 figures , isn't it ?

i don't understand what happenned. i got the same gui freeze with the svn version ...

the last time (with svn) it was just before a torrent completed ... but it recovered and i do not have to kill it. the gui got responsive again and redraw after the popup closes

[UPDATE]
ok. i got it. the gui froze because i had not enough space on my partition to store another torrent. i got the error "can not expand ..../cache"

Those errors should be gone in a couple of days, I'm currently rewriting the chunk selection algorithm and have decided to use this opportunity to implement diskspace preallocation.

KT will allocate all the necessary diskspace for each torrent when it is loaded for the first time. In your case that will lead to an error before the torrent is started.
