[feature] set a certain time

Fri Mar 03, 2006 5:16 pm
Hello,

Perhaps it is already provided, but I didn't find it yet:

Would it be possible to implement a "timer", where a user can set the time a download should start?

regards,

Not at the moment, we are planning to do that (at some unspecified time in the future).

But you can combine cron and dcop to achieve something like this.

If you type this in a konsole :
dcop ktorrent KTorrent openTorrent <path to torrent file>

KT will open a torrent.

Put that in a shell script and let that run at the right time using cron. To make it more flexible, you can have the script do an ls *.torrent on a directory and then open the found torrent using dcop.
