I was playing with the new tracker tab in current SVN, and boy i feel nice with all that new stuff
When i did some "playing around" in KTorrent today, i first came to the finding that when i enabe DHT it only get activated when i restart KTorrent. I don't know if this is ment to be working like this or perhaps this is still a work in progress, but i thought it was usefull to report anyway. Disabling DHT on the other hand, don't seem to kick peers connected via DHT, the connections have to bleed death. This is not a bad thing in my view, other then that it will get in the way of my feature idea here under. My idea: I was thinking about a checkbox in the tracker tab where you can alter a non-private DHT torrent to private, back and forward. (already private torrent greyed-out) I know this is a personal idea, that it might not be usefull in view of other people, and that there already is a huge waiting queue for the todo list. (i sometimes already ask myself how you get this work managed to get done in 24 hours) So for that i'll leave it to you to deside. |

I'll browse the code to see if there's already a method to enable/disable DHT for specific torrent. If so, it won't be difficult to implement this.
BTW, since you are playing around with trackers, try to see if you can find some torrent that lists multiple entries for the same tracker (in my case demonoid.com). In this scenario I was able to remove all of those trackers making KT crash. By default, there's no way to remove trackers that are listed in torrent file, only the custom ones. |

Same finding here. Sometimes it refuses to remove the ones already listed in the torrentfile(which was how you ment it to work right), but sometimes it let me remove all lines and then KTorrent crashes. (running torrents or not, doesn't matter)
Maybe it has some connection with that KTorrent makes a new dube tracker line every time i restart KTorrent. PS. the fix for remembering an altered ratio-box works perfect |

I'd probably have to put some message box for that...
I'll see if I have some of those torrents but just in case you could send some to ivan@ktorrent.org |
