Try rerunning make -f Makefile.cvs and configure, for some reason the libraries are not getting linked.

oh come on !

it has been five times you told me to re-run make -f Makefile.cvs and i answered you that it did not change anything ... i.e. i still got that error

today, with no hope i run some svn up and see
U ktorrent/utests/Makefile.am

so i got some hope not to get that error but ...

svn up

It seems that the construction used in peerview is not supported by your gcc version. It should work now.

yeah ktorrent svn compiles for me ! that's a great day !

so that error has finally disappeared :
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `../ktorrent/plugins/upnp/libktupnp.la', needed by `ktutester'. Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/mvv/svn/ktorrent/utests'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/mvv/svn/ktorrent'
make: *** [all] Error 2

by the way, i use slackware 10.2 and i still use gcc-3.3.6 shipped with it ... damn !
